This book covers the crime that peace

officers most commonly deal with. This is a good manual to carry in the patrol car for reference. It also has an index in which offenses are listed by code section as well as by name if the crime.

Several years ago cartoons were added

to the book to break upthe reading and to illustrate important point of law. After that was done, it was found that students using this book scored about 20% higher on class examinations.

This book is used as a Criminal Law text

in colleges throughout the state of California, and in police academies as well. It is updated biannually.
