NOTE: Here is more info on Ted Lewy from an online member -- TNX Brian Ted Lewy was my next door neighbor during my schooling years, approximately 15 years. As a young man growing up in the Sunset District of San Francisco it was my pleasure to know Mr. Ted Lewy and his wife. Many times he would invite me and my brot hers into his little work shop in his house. A few things I can pass on to your clients about Ted Lewy is he was a true lover of nature, many times he and his wife spent time in ther backyard admiring the garden they put together, the beautiful flowe rs and other arrangements. I use to stand on the wood fence between our houses and admire what he had done. In his home work shop he would show us new post cards and explain how he liked to use certain colors and shapes to make areas of his water co lors stand out. It was a method he said no one else was using or really understood. He would have private showings at his house and I remember him showing me some of the oil paintings he had on tripods for these showings and told me certain ones were his favorite. One in particular was a Oil of the Napa Vineyards and it showed a two lane paved road with overhanging trees forming a curved arch over the road, and on the left side on a sloping hill was a large winery building. Ted Lewy had a patio n for nature, for certain geographic landscapes and buildings. He was a calm person who expressed concerns for others. He was extremely well organized and kept an emactly clean work area, house, and garden. He offered me advise on alot of personal is sues and expressed concerns for humanity and the world. He loved to paint, and saw what he painted in "different eyes" as he said to me. Over doing things in his paintings to express certain points. He will be missed. If others have questions about T ed Lewy, I will be glad to respond, and if the questions are not to personal. Thanks and I hope some of what I've said is helpful. Brian
